Covid-19 Policy

At Amazon Xtreme Fishing, the health and safety of our guests, staff, and partners remain our top priorities. While global COVID-19 restrictions have eased, we continue to maintain appropriate health protocols to ensure your safety and comfort. We follow the latest guidelines from international health authorities, as well as the policies of Brazil, the United States, and Ecuador (including the Galápagos Islands). Below is our updated COVID-19 policy to help you travel with confidence.

Brazil (Amazon Region)

Brazil has adapted its protocols to ensure the safety of travelers in the Amazon Basin while accommodating the evolving nature of the pandemic. At Amazon Xtreme Fishing, we maintain the following measures:

Current Travel Requirements

As of 2025, Brazil does not require COVID-19 vaccination for entry, and our fishing destinations also have no vaccine requirements. However, if you have a vaccination card, we recommend bringing it just in case it is requested at certain locations.

Indigenous Villages & National Parks

While general travel restrictions have eased, certain indigenous villages and national parks within the Amazon region maintain their own health protocols:

Some indigenous communities require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to visit
Some national parks and protected areas, such as Jaú National Park and Xingu Indigenous Park, maintain their own health protocols
Our team will provide specific requirements for your itinerary before departure
We can arrange testing services for guests when required for village or park visits

Enhanced Hygiene Standards

Regular sanitation of all cabins, common areas, and fishing equipment
Hand sanitizing stations available throughout boats and lodges
Optional masks available for guests who prefer to use them

United States

For travelers booking through our US office or embarking on trips with US connections:

Entry and Domestic Guidelines

The US has lifted most COVID-related travel restrictions for domestic and international travel
We recommend checking the CDC website for any updates before international travel
The airlines we use do not require COVID-19 vaccination; however, some airlines may still have their own health protocols in place. We recommend checking with your international airline before travel.

Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

Ecuador & the Galápagos Islands continue to prioritize health and conservation to ensure that tourism remains safe and sustainable:

Current Requirements

The Galapagos Islands maintain stricter health protocols than mainland Ecuador due to their unique ecosystem
While vaccination requirements have eased, proof of health insurance covering COVID-19 is still recommended
Some protected areas and marine reserves may have additional health requirements
